We are happy the shutdown is over but it was precipitated on continuing the ObamaCare subsidies, among other reasons. Of course these subsidies are unsustainable and Obamacare was anything but affordable. We remember when Obamacare was passed. A big hoopla was had and the media honored, “The Lion of the Senate”, Ted Kennedy. They said he worked for socialized healthcare his entire government career. We wonder why, if he actually felt so strongly about people with pre-existing conditions and poor people who could not afford insurance, he didn’t remember any of them in his will? He had enough money to bequeath a fund that would solely help those with medical emergencies and no money. Funny how politicians will never put their money where they want us to put our money.
Last week’s Guardians of Liberty Meeting was so very informative. The Shield Maidens did not disappoint. Please catch the video when it is posted. Again, Missouri citizens are so fortunate to have patriotic people who will fight for constitutional bills and common sense.
Even with all the corruption around us, we have much to be thankful for, so please have a blessed and joyful Thanksgiving!
